About Us

I'm just a small town girl.  Born and raised in a little town in SW Virginia, smack dab in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains (a small province of the Appalachian Mountains).  But my little town was special.  It is home to Virginia Tech, a school with an incredible international community comprised of students and families from roughly 90 countries across the world.  A community that incited my curiosity and intrigued my love of other cultures and place.

My parents always traveled with my sisters and I when we were young.  Showing us the scenic wilderness of West Virginia, the bold skyline of architectural wonders in New York City, and the imaginative wonder of theme parks in Orlando, Florida.  While we didn't travel far, my parents instilled in us a love of adventure, a love of finding, and a love of exploring new places with the people we loved the most.

As I grew older, I began to take any opportunity I was given to travel.  From professional conferences to mission trips, and from Spring Break service projects to family vacations, I sought out ways to expand my view of the world.

Now that I have a family, that love has not changed and I strive to share my love of traveling with my husband and children.  My family of 5 Little Birds love to travel the world in search of new experiences and adventure.  Our love of traveling lead us to make the big move to live permanently at one of the top vacation spots on the East Coast ( Myrtle Beach).  Join us in this adventure where I show you the greatest sights, best restaurants, funnest activities, and give you insights and tips for how you too can travel the world.
